The appellation covers 5 towns: Barsac, Bommes, Fargues, Preignac and Sauternes. It is spread over 4,287 acres and around 34,000 hectolitres are produced each year. The most common grape varieties are muscadelle, sauvignon, sauvignon gris and sémillon. Since 1936, the appellation has produced mainly noble rot wines. Take a look at our selection!
