Domaine Marc Sorrel

The vineyard was founded in 1928, by Marc’s grandfather, Félix Sorrel. Marc Sorrel took the vineyard over in 1984. The first Hermitage wine is made from grapes coming from the Mas des Plantiers, located in a place called "Les Greffieux". The wine called "Le Gréal", of the Hermitage appellation, comes at 90% from the place called le Méal. This hill is South-facing, but it is protected by cold winds from the North. It is one of the most prestigious of the appellation. A few different wines are produced, but they are subjected to a great care and the vineyard has built its reputation around the high quality of its Hermitage wines.
